Exhibition Histories Talks: Jasia Reichardt – video online
On Thursday 23 January 2014 Jasia Reichardt was in conversation with Afterall’s David Morris for the fifth in our series of talks analysing exhibitions through the personal accounts of the curators responsible for them.
Following her presentation ‘In Anticipation of the 1960s’ on artistic developments of the 1950s, Reichardt discussed her curatorial work during the 1960s which included seminal exhibitions such as ‘Image in Progress’ (Grabowski Gallery, 1962), the first exhibition of British Pop Art in London, ‘Between Poetry and Painting’ (ICA, 1965), on concrete poetry, and ‘Cybernetic Serendipity’ (ICA, 1968), the first large-scale international exhibition of computer and electronic arts.
This events series is a collaboration with the Whitechapel Gallery, London and part of the Exhibition Histories research and publication project, led by Afterall in collaboration with the Center for Curatorial Studies, Bard College.
